On June 10, the State Council promulgated the Regulations on the Management of Human Genetic Resources, stipulating the investigation of human genetic resources, Chinese human genetic resources protection. The declaration and registration system for important genetic families and human genetic resources in specific areas will be implemented. The Regulations come into force on July 1, 2019. Scientific research activities of foreign organizations, individuals and institutions established or actually controlled must be in cooperation with relevant Chinese institutions.
