By the end of August 2019, China has issued 773 national certificates for information security products and 73 certificates for network key equipment and special products. In 2004, the National Accreditation Commission, the Ministry of public security, the Ministry of national security, the former Ministry of information industry, the State Secrets Bureau, the office of the former state password management committee, the former General Administration of quality supervision and quarantine and the Information Office of the former State Council jointly issued the notice on establishing the identification and recognition system of national information security products, and put forward the establishment of a unified information security product certification and accreditation system. Important information security products are subject to compulsory certification. Since then, the National Accreditation Regulatory Commission has completed the preparation of certification bodies, formulated and issued a catalogue of information security product certification, completed the technical basis of product certification, and formulated a set of certification rules and technical specifications.
