China establishes Domain Name Root Server and Operating Institutions

27 June, The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has agreed to set up a Domain Name Root Server (F, I, K, L Root Mirror Server) and a Domain Name Root Server Operating Agency in the China Internet Information Center. They are responsible for running, maintaining and managing the Domain Name Root Server numbered JX0001F, JX0002F, JX0003I, JX0004K, JX0005L and JX0006L, respectively.
