On May 26th, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the “Implementation Rules for the Management of Human Genetic Resources”, which will come into effect from July 1, 2023. Overseas organizations are not allowed to collect or preserve China’s human genetic resources within China, and are not allowed to provide China’s human genetic resources overseas.
